This kitchen challenged us to build maximum functionality into a relatively small space (12' x 23'). We used about half of the space for the cabinetry (12' x 13'), added a built-in oven/microwave combination, a 36" lazy Susan, and two built-in corner hutches, completely changing the look and layout of the kitchen. We removed a peninsula and added an 11' island with ample seating for five adults. Countertops are granite.
